SVgroup acquires Jan Veenhuis Machinefabriek
Rijssen & Raalte, 21 december 2022 - SVgroup, the company with the well-known Schuitemaker and Veenhuis brands, acquires Jan Veenhuis Machinefabriek B.V., manufacturer of agricultural dump trailers, commercial hook-arm loader systems and construction dump trailers, located in Raalte, The Netherlands, as of January 1, 2023.
SVgroup managing director Jos Kamp is delighted with the move: 'With the addition of Jan Veenhuis, we are taking over a specialised company with a premium product positioning within transport technology. This fits perfectly with our premium brands Schuitemaker and Veenhuis with which we operate in forage harvesting, manure and winter service'.
'The addition expands our production capacity by allowing us to add an additional production location. At the same time, this way we are connecting a group of skilled workers to our company.' Says Jos Kamp.
Marc Veenhuis (Jan Veenhuis Machinefabriek) is also pleased. "During the talks with SVgroup and with Wadinko, I became convinced that Jan Veenhuis Machinefabriek is in the right place" he confirmed. "Besides the customer base being a good fit, with Wadinko as a shareholder I am confident that the continuity and employment of the company will be guaranteed."
Added value
Since the merger of Schuitemaker and Veenhuis in 2019, SVgroup has managed to achieve healthy growth year on year as a company. Through new product introductions and strengthening (inter)national sales channels, this growth line is expected to continue in the coming years.
With the acquisition, SVgroup offers a broad portfolio of modern machinery for both contractors and the earthmoving segment. The combination between SVgroup and Jan Veenhuis is likely to lead to several synergies.
